I, too, am getting multiple emails and bills from Redbook stating I owe them $10.00. My current subscription (paid for when I signed up) is not up until December 2008. I've called them, I emailed them. No reply. I went on tonight after receiving yet another threatening "bill". The only choice under my account was to "pay my bill" so I clicked on it, hoping I'd get an email address, etc.

I see a notice flash on my screen VERY quickly but can't quite see what it says and then I'm brought to a screen to pay my bill. So I keep clicking on "pay my bill" in order to read what keeps flashing on my screen (but doesn't actually stay on the screen for more than a second). It says - get this - "Your current bill is paid in full".

It was basically telling me that I was going to pay for a new subscription, but it flashes on the screen so quickly, you can't see really see it. Talk about a scam. I've been reading Redbook for YEARS. I just canceled my current subscription and will not buy another copy .

What a sneaky way they have of trying to get a MEASLY TEN DOLLARS out of people. I'm sure enough people pay for the "new" year that it makes them a ton of money.
