As most of us know Hurricane Ike ripped through this area. On Septermber 10th I left with my family to Dallas as most of the residents of Dayton did when they called for the manditory evacuation. It has been over a month and things are getting back to normal or so I thought. I logged on to my checking account yesterday and found a charge on my account from REDBOX for $81.19. I called them and they said that these movies were rented on the 11th. I was told to contact my bank to report the charges. I called my bank and they asked me to call REDBOX back and make sure they do not collect on the charge because they have opened a fraudulant charge report. I did just that. I checked my account again on Sunday morning and low and behold there is the charge that was in pending status now has been deducted from my account ( by this time I am so mad I can chew nails).. I called my bank again and they said because they have already collected I have to call redbox for a refund. I called them and they are REFUSING To give me my money back, they said SOMEONE had to swipe my card to get movie(s). I know just like everyone else that we here in DAyton were without power for over 3 weeks, Of course they are saying that the REDBOX that we supposidly rented from was in DAyton and at walgreens?? I have turned this over to the Attorney General and The BBB. I just wanted to let fellow citizens know to watch there accounts if they use the REDBOX system.
