THE PROMISE:

Access to SmartSpecs based upon the geography, user quantity, search quantity, and search criteria listed in the Customer Profile section

Total (12 month contract): $9,700/year

Your search criteria produced around 400 results per year

I was led to believe and told that these were active projects that your system would ferret out.  On further review (after signing up for the service of course) it turned out that actual projects with these search terms were virtually non-existent.  I called and had the search terms changed twice, called for advice and training to determine why I wasnt getting the results and at the end of the day just came to realize these jobs werent there.

Im not sure what data you used to determine the proposed leads in the original proposal but after signing up, they just werent there.   Extremely disappointing to me as I had high hopes based on the presentation and promises that were made.

So now Reed hasn't delivered on their promise... what are my options?  Just to keep paying the bill.  They aren't responsible for actually delivering the leads, just promising that they are "there".  The agreement can't be canceled, Reed doesn't actually have to deliver anything once the contract has been signed.

ADVICE: If you are looking at Reed or any other lead generation company, I'd have them give me 10 or whatever "free" leads first to check the viability of the information you are paying so dearly for.  If they are going to tie you up for a period of time, they better have gold plated data for you.

Reed didn't!

Reed Business came through and we've agreed to move on; I'd like to thank ROR for the forum and Reed for working through the issues on this.  I wish all parties the best in the future.
