Reef2Reef is an online forums advertising them as a reef aquarium help website. They allow advertisers to sell illegal corals, which are prohibited by law, to be imported into the U.S. They allowed a vendor, Mr. Coral, to sell hard corals from the China Sea, an enviromentally protected region.

When I emailed the site owner about the illegal coral sales, he did nothing. When I spoke out about them on the forum, I was permantly banned for use. When I informed the site owner, David Hammondtree, that while there were terms of service surrounding use of the forum, that First Amendmant rights were not to be infriged, based on Supreme Court ruling which grants the highest form of first amendmant protection to the internet. I never heard back.

Also, there are multiple violations of the same terms of service I was banned under, by vendors on a regular basis, with no action taken what so ever. Not only that, misinformation is shared with aquarists daily, and vendors are free to manipulate buyers into paying excessively high prices for sub par livestock.
