Nathan Lovern of Referral Flood Response, Johnstown, Colorado takes advantage of people during recent flooding of a basement in Aurora, CO.  Charged me $2,500 BEFORE THE WORK STARTED, which is 2-3 times the amount other CERTIFIED Flood people would have charged me (the others have SEEN the basement carpet). Then he wanted another $1,800 to replace the baseboards they carelessly ripped off the drywall and dry wall covering paper.

HE held our only key to the property "hostage" ( so that we had to call in a locksmith to get in for $130) then sent nasty e-mails calling us a slumlord, trying to sound so Christianly pius at name calling, when we refuse to be charged any more than the contracted for price (which we paid up front before work began).

DO NOT let this man do any work for you.  He will be very "nice" up front--all the while knowing he is ripping you off!

Jan D**** & Charles B**** are the "anonymous" people that filed the rip-off report on myself and my partners business. These landlords agreed to the work that was done and agreed to pay for it. The charges they agreed to were industry standard pricing(blue book) and the time they were charged for was less than the time to do the job. Jan d**** is complaining about work on a contract that she agreed to and signed knowing full well what she was agreeing to. What they didn't do was pay for additional services that were necessary to complete the job. They agreed to pay for the additional services which were above and beyond the original work.

They (Jan D**** & Charles B****) agreed to pay for the additional work and then after it was done, Jan D**** & Charles B**** refused to pay the bill. Their keys were left with their tenants and never held for payment as Jan stated. The drywall was flood cut as any other water damage company would do and the carpeting was dried according to IICRC standards which Jan stated wasn't done. Jan D**** never even bothered to check the job after it was completed either, then a month later decides to complain about the work which was done properly. Jan D**** & Charles B**** called us to do this work after we had done other repairs for them in the past which they were completely satisfied with.

Just as there may be bad contractors out there which myself and my partner are not, there are customers whom should be avoided and cannot be trusted to pay their bills. Jan D**** is disgruntled because I told her that she and Charles B**** are dishonest people and THAT is the reason why she filed a rip-off report on my business. Referral Flood Response has been in busines for 10+ years with 100's of happy, satisfied customers that are more than comfortable referring our business to others. I recommend that anyone considering doing business with Jan D**** & Charles B**** should stay far away from them. Business is a 2- way street and it is not always the case where contractors are bad but there are also customers looking to have work done that are bad.
