I read the letter about the man who joined Refferalware marketing system. I also decided to look at the deal for a free trial membership. It only took me a few minutes to realize this is yet another way of doing a mutlti-level marketning, however what you sale is an idea..and you do it by taking ads out to attract more people to join. There is no product, aside their marketing secrets. I knew at once this was going to cost me and so I called a number at paysystems which is 1-888-751-0744 to makes sure they did not charge me after the trial membership.

When you receive your welcome note from them, there is a link for you to go to in order to cancel, however, guess what..? It does not work. You will need to call paysystems before the trial membership ends, or you will not get any money back. Their iron=clad promise of money back is actually a promise to give you two months free if you do not make any money, and after the trial memvership ends, it is too late.

The ads cost a lot of money and If I am correct, they had put me on a advanced membership right away, which I belive ment money would have been taken from me again and again. I may be wrong, but the same thing is true of any thing that sounds too good to be true..it is not what you hope it will be. I think a few make money, but the rest of the people do not. I could not even get my sponser to answer an e-mail, and the e-mail I think never went through...a bogus ..address??? Again, I dont know..but I think the average person who is looking to make real money on the net should avoid this company at all cost. I think what makes me mad of this..is that most of the ads are geared toward someone getting a free gift if they apply for a credit card. So please be careful with this scheme..as I do believe that is nothing more than a scam for the average joe.

The 3 letters I read provide for a number of replies and without knowing all the details for each specific complaint, I can only summize the following:

It is obvious in one case that there is negligence with respect to the return of funds based on some guarantee from referralware. The individual must have made a decision to continue with the marketing material and to some degree owes the company the money. My only thought here is why didn't the individual already know he or she was not making any extra income? Why compromise themselves further from something that wasn't working to begin with in short.

Another individual wrote that they couldn't even as much as get a response from their sponsor and then termed it as a "bogus e-mail" ? I find the statement unfounded but do not make specific claim that this is correct or not. In response to this, I can only state that I too e-mailed my sponsor and in fact, did get a reply. The reply however came from an individual who purchased advertising hits from referralware and thats how he received my lead.He had very little to say that could help me develope my busines and in my opinion, was just another tinkerer like the rest of us hoping to make some extra money. My only final concern here was that while this fellow was in referralware before myself, why and how could he have received my name before I even became an agent of referralware. A carefull review of this would indicate to me that the individual had purchased a guaranteed name list while i signed up. Do you follow me on this one? That is the only possible way he received my name or anyone else's name for that matter. I will be communicating further with this individual as things progress.

And then there is the letter from Diana who realizes early that she feels this is a scam. She states that when you try to cancel, it doesn't work. I do not understand why you would have to call paysystems before the trial membership ends or you will not get your money back. That is if you send the money. A trial membership is just that, "trial membership". Sending money to any organization puts you the consumer at risk, period. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Now if referralware wants to charge you after the fact, I do not see how they will even come close in any attempt to collect from the agent. The bottom line is to take advantage of the trial membership and don't send them any money until your satisfied. If it goes beyond the trial period, so be it. It hasn't cost you a red cent! I do agree from what Diana says is that there is no product to sell, you simply attract people to your sites and these are called hits to the sites that the advertisers pay for. The more people you attract, the more exposure the advertisers receive. In some cases those people that you attract, will purchase products and or services to which your entitled to a commission etc etc...

In closing, I just want to confirm that I am merely new at this program myself and its the first I've encountered the reports on this site. I am not a spokesperson for referralware. I consider myself an advocate on consumer issues and have an extensive backgroud on these subject matters. There is risk in any venue, the key is to tread slowly and not move quickly into ventures and especially where someone asks you to pay them something in advance for an alleged future of incoming revenue. I must say that I have been enlightened further regarding this site and will view same as a heads up issue regarding future dealings with referralware.
