Worst Experience Ever!! Their service is pathetic. They have not delivered till date (pick up made on 7/27) & keep giving excuse about the signed contract which says 30 business days. I recently hired them for moving my goods from Atlanta to Louisville (just 440 miles). Pick up was done on 7/27, but as per their mail they said they could deliver anytime before 9/17 (30 business days). Had they told this clause at the time of booking, I would have never hired them initially.

Initially, I was given a quotation for $1400. Later, on the day of pick up they asked for extra $600 in the name of Long Carry Charges. Since, I had to leave within a day or two I had no option other than paying them this extra amount. They will make you sign a Bill of Lading contract without explaining the clauses, which will have two options. They will make you sign the second option which says 60 cents per pound of claim amount in case they misplace or damage goods, instead of the 1st option which gives you the option of claiming actual worth of the good.

I am filing this complaint on 8/29 for a 7/27 pick up date and I have not yet received my shipment. They are highly unprofessional and their customer care will stop picking your calls or responding to your follow up mails. Their license for doing business should be immediately revoked. STAY AWAY FROM THEM !!

Initially, I was given a quotation for $1400. Later, on the day of pick up they asked for extra $600 in the name of Long Carry Charges.  Under most carrier's interstate tariffs, they would be allowed to bill you for Long Carry and without knowing how long the carry, $600 might be reasonable.  What I can't tell is how much stuff you needed to move.  I can't imagine it's much IF they only billed you $1400 for moving to Louisville, and they didn't try to bill you more for having more stuff than your inventory list shows.

They will make you sign the second option which says 60 cents per pound of claim amount in case they misplace or damage goods, instead of the 1st option which gives you the option of claiming actual worth of the good.  That's interesting.  A scam mover would never give you an option one to choose from.  Now, having full valuation would have cost you a significant amount - a legit mover will charge you extra for that service with a deductible.  If you got bent out of shape for a $600 long carry, I would imagine you'd be pissed off at how much full valuation would be.  The one you chose costs nothing BUT I would expect the mover to still break stuff.  Which brings up the fact that in all likelihood, there will probably be a lot of broken or damaged items.

I am filing this complaint on 8/29 for a 7/27 pick up date and I have not yet received my shipment.  This is a moving company with exactly TWO trucks and TWO drivers to perform their moves, according to the Department of Transportation.  The summer represents the busy time of the year for a mover as well.  I am hardly making an excuse for the mover.  My point is - it will be really hard for them to take one of their two trucks and divert the truck to Louisville to deliver a small amount of stuff, and then drive back without a load on the truck, when they make most of their money on local moves with their 2 trucks.  I would expect you'll see your stuff on a rental truck so that they don't have to use their trucks to deliver to Louisville.  A lot of small movers will do that if they're bumping up against the final date of the delivery window, and there is not a load for them to pick up and bring back to GA.

Their license for doing business should be immediately revoked.  That's not going to happen.  They're not the finest movers.  But they have done nothing that would warrant having their DOT license revoked.  The delivery window was 30 business days according to the BOL.  I don't know how you would file a complaint with the DOT for failure to deliver when the BOL puts the last date of delivery at 09/17/2018?  On top of everything else, the moving industry is heavily protected by Federal laws on the books that limit what a consumer can sue a mover for to what is in the contract.

Moving is not an inexpensive venture.  It is labor intensive, no automation, and no 2 moves are alike.  Selecting a large mover local to you that would come out and survey your goods at origin is the best way to insure there are few surprises.  If you can't afford one of the large movers, I would be careful - there may be some good smaller movers, but it's hard to distinguish a good small mover from a bad one.  Moving yourself is often the best option if you can't afford a large mover.  Best of luck to you....
