I just had my computer cleaned and installed windows 2000. After installing aol, a message pops up and a bell rings. The message is from messenger service saying message from system to alert. STOP! IMMEDIATE ATTENTION REQUIRED. Windows has found CRITICAL SYSTEMS ERORS. Download registry Cleaner from cleaner.64.com. I clicked on box gave cred. crd. would not load Called# ans.machine full
After loading windows and aol on clean computer a box pops up saying stop immediate attention required.
They told me open internet explorer and type in www.registrycleaner.com.
It lookes so real not thinking it could be a scam. I clicked on box and gave my card number. message said to download registry cleaner from cleaner.64.com failure to act may lead to data loss and corruption.
I could not complete loading, the message box kept popping up. I called the number at bottom of page, answering machine came on saying leave message no one is able to take your call, then it said memory full. i even tried to email.
I called credit card company to report. They told me the charge said pending. I told them what has happened and I was filing a report with you. I also signed up for identity theft propection.
All I can say is they are very good at stealing peoples money. They need to be stopped! Please contact me if need to, I'll do anything I can to get these jerks caught. Thank you
