I purchased a very expensive, all-leather office chair with lumbar support from Relax the Back in Westboro, MA a few years ago. It's only used ocassionally in my home office. The molded plywood base structure began to fail causing the chair arm supports to loosen. The Westboro, MA location I purchased from had closed so I called the company headquarters to inquire about the warranty on the chair. They stated that the Nepsco Inc, Backsaver company that manufactured the chair for them had gone out of business and there were no parts available to repair it regardless of the warranty status. I asked if they would replace it with a like kind and quality chair or offer a replacement at a discount and was told that they could not do anything whatsoever for me. I find it unbelieveable that they had no interest in helping me with this issue or attempting to keep me as a future customer. I followed up their email declining assistance and never received a response back from their customer service department. I'm extremely disappointed that the company did not stand behind my $1000 purchase or offer to assist in any way at all.
