Reliant Energy Ripoff Fort Worth Texas
Around June 2006 I called Reliant Energy to inquire about a program they had to earn airline miles. I was allready a Reliant customer at the time. The Reliant representative explained the details of the offer and when I asked her the rate it was higher that i was currently paying, I told her that I did not want to switch to the higher rate and that I would stay with my current rate that I had. She advised that was fine since I never confirmed that I wanted to switch she would just leave me on the old plan.
In August 2006 after recieving my reliant bill I discovered that I had been switched to a higher rate and I called reliant and spoke with a representative who advised that the would open an investigation for the price switch and they would get back with me. I called again one month later and was advised that the investigation was still pending, they also advised that they saw where I had called in June 2006 and the repersenative made the comment that the customer inquired about an offer and then decided not to change rates before confirming the request, she also said that she mistakenly switched me to the new rate and was unable to retrive the old rate. This was the first time that I was made aware of this.
I have made several more calls to reliant who said it was still under investigation. It has benn over 3 months since they opened the investigation and if they will read the representatives comment in thier computer it says she made a mistake. I have talked with several repersenative with one forwarding me to a senior repersenative named Kevin who said he would take care of it, still no response. Do not use Reliant Energy they will rip you off.
