Complaint Review: REMAX VAN LINES AKA RHINO MOVING INC

REMAX VAN LINES AND RHINO MOVING INC , FIRST CALL MOVERS, NORTH AMERICAN MASTER LINES, ALLY MOVERS ARE TEAMED UP TO BE ONE OF FLORIDA'S BIGGEST MOVING SCAM ARTISTS!  THEY CALL YOU UP, GIVE YOU THE LOWEST PRICES AND "YES," YOU TO DEATH! THEN THEY TAKE ALL YOUR PERSONAL BILLING INFORMATION, AND THEY CHARGE YOUR CARD FRAUDULENTLY, AND REPEATEDLY! THESE GUYS HAVE BEEN RIPPING PEOPLE OFF FOR OVER 5 YEARS, AND COUNTING!  HERE IS A REAL REVIEW, RECENTLY POSTED, BY ONE OF THERE CONSUMERS;

I picked Remax Van lines due to the overall good reviews to move my family from Florida to Chicago. All was fine until all of our things were on the truck and our 3500.00 dollar quote went to 6100.00 dollars even though I did not even end up taking A patio table with six chairs and umbrella, an elliptical machine and a 19 inch TV yet somehow I was still that much over. I spoke with Jason at Remax and told him to take everything off of the truck that I would not pay that. We ended up agreeing to 4350.00 dollars to finish the job. I really did not want to have to look for another moving company at this point but should have. When delivery came I gave the driver the final payment and then after that guess what he said that he needed more money to go up the steps and they knew it was a two story home just your typical no stairs to get in and no basement. I told him I would not pay the extra since I already gave him the balance due and showed him my contract that showed this and that Jason said that the balance due was the remainder left so that I did not owe any more. They refused dropped off my things all on the first floor and said they were done. I told him that they still needed to reassemble my things before they left that was also on my contract reassembly of everything they take apart. I still have their blankets. They said it would take an extra hour and that they had to get to another job and left. I spoke with Brian at Remax and he said that they should not have asked for more money and should have reassembled and put everything in their proper rooms. I also like a few others that did not get good service did not get a Remax truck for pickup or delivery and not because I have narrow streets or because it was a one truck delivery I had a small budget truck for pickup and a full size for delivery just not a  Remax truck. All of my furniture is either scratched, chipped, dented, or broken so bad that proper reassembly was not possible for my son's crib, office desk, and my headboard. My 42 inch TV is broken and many fragile marked boxes were upside down and many things broken. I am also missing a box of towels, linens, blankets and sheets and a carpet washer. I Was given the wrong delivery date and took off of work and Remax said they would give me 200.00 dollars for this mistake however I had to sign a document that said I could not file any future claims before the truck had even come. I guess Remax thought I was dumb enough to sign this and already knew how bad my things were. I have over 100 pictures and videos and will send them to anyone would like to see them before moving forward with Remax Van lines and if you do go with Remax get the upgraded insurance I did not know there was an option because Jason will be happy to inform you that you didn't, have them come to your house to see what is going on the truck and get a firm price documented and signed. Ask about how long it will take for delivery I did not because I have never had moving issues and they were always there before a week, but when a week had come with no call I called Remax and they still did not know and Jason said that they go based on a work week and since it was labor day weekend it had only been 3 days not seven and that they had 21 business days to deliver  I would not wish this on anyone and don't expect Jason to care about anything I asked him on one occasion who else I could speak with and Jason said "I could call ghost busters because he is the boss and that there is no one above him.

NOW, THIS DOES NOT END HERE, LOOK AT ALL THESE PRIOR COMPANIES THAT MAXX SOCHER HAS PUT  (SAFE LOAD FAILED AS WELL, YOU CAN SEE THE (F) RATING ON THIS LINK).

NOW, THEY ARE STARTING WORK WITH A NEW COMPANY, THE NAME IS REMAX VAN LINES, THE COMPANY THEY ALSO WORK FOR IS RHINO MOVING INC.  THESE ARE BOTH SCAMMERS, THEY DON'T OWN ANY TRUCKS, THEY LIE ABOUT THE PRICE UP FRONT, AND THEY "BUMP" THE REAL PRICE UP BY AT LEAST 100%.

DO NOT MOVE WITH RHINO THEY WILL LOSE YOUR THINGS! I was moving long distance and had a minimum move (only 42 boxes). I couldn't believe when 2 of my boxes were lost. The drivers didn't seem to care or take it seriously when the counts didn't add up and two of the numbered labeled boxes didn't turn up at the destination. It seems like losing boxes and items happens often and it's business as usual. The default insurance is weight based and you get pennies for every pound; despite what the account representatives and the receiving movers say you will lose items and boxes and they will claim these items weren't part of your move. After spending many hours documenting the items I lost, emailing and calling both the insurance company and Rhino, and having the claim documentation rejected and having to complete tedious revisions obviously meant to delay resolution, it took 5 months to receive a decision on my claim. In the end, parts of my claim were denied and I received a negligible amount covering almost none of the insured value of my loss. I would not under any circumstance recommend moving with Rhino. I lost items that are priceless memories and heirlooms; to have my loss minimized and my claim partially denied is an insult. Do your research and get referrals and recommendations from people you trust instead of making the mistake of working with or trusting Rhino. If you decide against all odds and negative reviews to work with Rhino, PLEASE take out FULL insurance on your move and carefully itemize and document everything; don't trust anything that has any meaning or significance to you into the careless hands at Rhino, you will regret it.

IN CONCLUSION, IF YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF, AND PAY A LOT MORE MONEY THAN YOU WERE QUOTED UP FRONT, USE A COMPANY LIKE REMAX VAN LINES OR RHINO MOVING INC. OR ALLY MOVERS, THEY WILL HAPPILY STEAL FROM YOU, AND BREAK EVERYTHING YOU OWN!
