Renew Eye Cream/Derma Cream Facebook Scam for Eye Serum/Derma Cream Internet
I saw an advertisement on Facebook for Renew Eye Serum & Derma Cream which stated that Ellen DeGeneres uses and endorses the products. It stated that if you just pay shipping and handling, you can try these products out for free. I did not see any small print that might have listed terms and conditions but entered my credit card number to get the items shipped to me. In the meantime, I have been living out of the country and returned after several months to find multiple shipments of the serum & cream which I did not think I had agreed to order. I then checked my credit card statement and found that I have been charged an exorbitant amount of money for something I have never even tried and was unaware I was being charged for. The amounts I was charged each month totalled $188.84 -$94.42 for Yep Cleanse OH (888-523-6698) and $94.42 for Verve Beauty Derma OH (888-601-2889). The return address for these products is in Santa Ana, CA, and the packing slip on the inside of the package only lists a phone number (1-877-499-4405). I just called this number and finally reached someone to express my displeasure. They apparently are only a call center in CA that deals with products from hundreds of companies, meaning whoever I ordered these worthless products from remains anonymous with no chance of reaching them. I was told I will no longer receive these products and that the charges will stop but cannot return anything I've already received. I cannot believe I fell for this scam and wish I had googled the company before placing my initial order to avoid this extreme frustration and deceipt.
