Complaint Review: rent-a-center fairview ave kevin

I wanted to rent a big screen tv, so I called around to check all the rental stores that rented tv's. Rent-a-center had the best deal, so I thought. They told me if I came in early I could get the tv that day, no problem, but after I got there I had to fill a long application which was not a problem.

I picked out the tv that I want, then I told them that my husband would sign, since I did not work. My husband came in right after work and signed some more papers, and they said they would bring the tv out. I had paid for a month because i was told that i had to rent the tv for two months minimum. Then when my husband got there, he paid for another week.

They did not tell him,that i had already paid for a month and they rec'd anadditional 50.00 dollars. So we waited for the tv, no tv was delivered. we called back, and the said the tv was on the way. we waited some more. about 7:30 we called because the man had said he would call us back, but he didn't. when we called back we talked to the manager, i explained what had happened that we had paid money and had not rec'd a tv.

this all day sat and sun they would be closed, so now we had to wait til monday to get a tv. monday no one was going to be here to watch the tv most of the day. we wanted to have the tv there for the weekend.The manager was rude, and said there was nothing he could, all the delivery people had left. Now i thought that if you pay for something, you are supposed to get waht you pay for, but i paid for the rental of a tv and i don't have the tv or my money.
