Rent-a-center RAC ive worked for rac for 3 years 7 months then they terminate me for right up and me being late when i told the manager. rancho cordova, California
my name is adam i worked for (RAC) Rent-A-Center, this company is slander in the most ways possible, they dont give breaks, the expect a break in the truck when your driving to a delivery. They try to over work and over schedule everything, there not clean dirty place most nasty things come back and they still sale them to ppl, bassically i was suspened, i got suspened for tardies. But the tardies i got suspened for where for when i had some family problems and it was with my old manager and he said it was ok for me to come in late, well the old dm got fired like 7 weeks og from today 09/30/10. The new dm went back through my time card said i was tardy twelve times and suspened me and he wasnt even there when i was late. the only time i was late with him was twice and there policy says documented tardies and they suspened for like two days and said they have my last check im terminated after showing up dealing with no breaks and slaving away, for them just let me go.

First of all if you are taking care of a family member that is ill and you mentioned it to your manger you could have the right to take FMLA intermittant leave. If you can not speak to your supervisor then speak to the HR dept. If you are just late with and attitude about your job then you did not want to work anyway. The hours are part of the job and that is what you signed up for so call HR and explain the misunderstanding instead of failing to communicate effectively?
Did you call in to say you will be late? Did you get a final coaching session? Did you show up late after your final coachying session?
Do not just complian take care of crap...
