Shorty before Fathers Day of 2005, I puchased a rent to own recliner for my husband. About 9 months later, the entire back of the chair came completely off. I contact the RentACenter store where I had purchased the chair, and they said that it was under warranty and that it would be picked up to be fixed. FOUR MONTHS LATER I recieved a call from them saying the my merchandise was transferred to another store and I could pick it up there. PICK IT UP? Right. So I end up (after days and days of arguing to no avail) picking it up at a RentACenter location 45 minutes from my home.

The people seemed friendly and willing to help. My third payment in, I recieved a call claiming they had not received my money order. I call MoneyGram and they informed me that my money order had cleared and was marked paid. I gave RentACenter proof of this. About 4 months later, it happened once again, same line, same story. Money order cleared. Only this time, they asked me to send CASH from now on. Thats when I knew they were stealing my money. AND NOW... this past week, they send this fat, sweating pig to my door saying that my payment was not received and they were picking up the merchandise. I provided them with proof from money gram that they orders were cashed. He said the money would be returned to me for the money orders that were marked paid. While I am on the phone with the manager, he carries my chair out the front door.

Of course I tell the manager everything this pig says, and of course the manager says he cannot return ANY monies to me. And while he is driving away, he calls my sister in law and I f**king bitches out the truck window. A police report and theft by deception charges have been filed. BUYER BEWARE!!! PLEASE!!!

I am a RAC manager, and I am horrified that something like that happened to you.  Sometimes people smile and say the right things, act the right way to get hired when in reality they are trash.  I would fire any of my employees if I ever found out about anything like that.  Also, unfortunately, we do have employees that steal from time to time, like every other company, and when discovered are dealt with accordingly.  I would have contacted a district manager at the time this happened and demanded something be done, not only for the theft of your money orders, but for the alleged namecalling on his departure.  I am certain the upper management would have rectified the situation.  Sorry that happened to you, my customers mean everything to me and that is truly shocking behavior.
