RENTACENTER Sold me a computer with no manual or disks or complete bill of sale. Company made repairs on computer but computer does not work while under contract but will not help me anymore. Cleveland Ohio
I rented a Dell Computer from the company. Computer needed work on it I called and talked with the store manager he assured me that someone would be out to pick up the computer and take it in for repairs. Two months went by and no-show. I finally called the store up-set and someone finally came out with a loaner last month. My computer came back and has not been working properly since.
I called the store talked with Ron the store manager again and he said he would have someone out to pick it up again. I explain to him that I would go ahead and make my last payment on the computer because that was my obligation as the consumer. I did and now it's as though I never existed as a customer of theirs. I have called the store repeatly and he will not come to the phone nor will he call me back. Just today I called again up untill 7:30 p.m. in the evening I finally get him on the phone and again he made the same promise that someone will be out to pick up the computer and take it to repairs and the paperwork and disks that comes with the computer will be given to me when it returned.
I don't understand if you owe them money they are calling you early in the morning 8 a.m. for a payment but if you need them to do what they are supposed to do they disappear on you. How is it that they can still operate as a business? and treat their customers like this? I even enrolled in the Benefit Plus for the rental. Ron tells me that my warranty for the computer expired last year(2007), what's that about? I've tried calling the corporate company but to no avail every number given to me leads back to the store I rented from. Something needs to be done about this it really does.
