Complaint Review: Rentmaster

Watch out for these property rental managers guys. As far as our apartment renting experience goes with this compay they are flat out thieves. Very bad living conditions that might not even be legal. Maintenance was non existent. You are on your own. Meth dealers lived in the apartment above us, and armed Rexburg Police raided the building. When our lease expired and we moved out of our rental the property Manager Jen did everything she could to rob us of our deposit even after paying rent on time every time for six months. They do a $500.00 deposit then take $100.00 right off the bat and say its to cover the carpet cleaning they had to do from the previous tenants. We moved in and took our shoes off and within the first ten minutes noticed our feet and our children's feet were all black. The carpets were never cleaned they just pokcet part of the deposit. After six months when our lease ended, my wife slaved for two days cleaning the apartment white glove spotless. I checked everything on the list myself before we left. When we asked for our deposit back, the Manager Jenn made up excuses and said she had pictures that the apartment was dirty but then when we asked her for the pictures she would never produced them. In my opinion, don t even bother cleaning if you leave. They still wont give you your deposit back. We have met three other BYUI couples that were also scammed by these people. We are not the only ones they have stolen from. The positive reviews on the web about this company are fake they hire people to write them. They are called squatters. Watch out for this company. Dishonest thieves. This is very sad as I have heard the owners of the company are on a mission and a very nice couple but the new owners or atleast the people that manage the company as of 2013-2014 are skilled liar's and deceiver's who's income is based off ripping off young newly wed BYU-I couples.
