Complaint Review: RentWave.com (Rent Wave)

I was in a situation where I was needing to move. I looked on the internet and found RentWave.com and called on June 17, 2003. The person said they had a special going that day if I signed up for the platium package, and told me that if I did not need the service that I could have a refund back. Just to call or write them.

The next day (June 18)I decided I wasn't going to move to another place, but instead move in with my son and his family in order to save some money. On June 19 I called and the person there said I needed to write the Refund Dept. with my cancellation of their service and someone would be in touch with me. I heard nothing and wrote them on July 7, 2003 for the second time, and got no response.

I have called them several times and was given excuses of why no one could talk with me by phone. So today, July 22, 2003 I called and finally got a guy by the name of Toustiu Kummibert who basically said it was my problem because they don't give refunds. I have never received anything in writing to indicate that and have requested it but haven't received anything. I am upset with the way I was handled and was told well it's my problem. They don't refund just because I don't need the service. Now I am looking to find a way to get the word out that Rent Wave is nothing more than a scam service.
