Repairable Vehicles Car Salesman Honesty Tea SD
This website sells salvage vehicles in various conditions for repair. I watched for months before I found one I liked and called Jeff. Do not take his word for repairs that are needed! He said replace doors and pull out the dent. I took it to three body shops before finding one that would even touch it. Damage was so extensive I had to buy the side and floor of another car to weld in. Jeff casually estimated the fix to be around $5,000. I am not done yet but repairs will run around $12,000. I could have bought a new car for what I will have in this one. My mistake for trusting his opinions as he is obviously a car salesman and not a body guy.
I talked to Jeff several times about what damage there was, and he also never mentioned a cracked fiberglass top or bent suspension components including axle (the tire was obviously slanted). All I got back was it's a done deal. Bald tires, parts missing from interior. I would never trust them without seeing the vehicle again. I blame myself mostly, and like to assume they are honest and just miss a few details with all the vehicles they sell, but never again without seeing it in person.
