Repairclinic.com I had purchassed parts from repairclinic.com to fix my dishawasher, received and paid for them with my credit card. I had been noticing for about 6 months charges on my statement from 2 different Shopper discount Sites for $12.00 a month for each site. I finally was able to get a phone # for the 2 sites that were charging me and they told me they got my info from repairclinic.com Canton Michigan
I had purchased parts to repair my dishwasher from Repairclinic.com and paid them with my credit card and I received the parts and I thought that everything was fine.
I then noticed charges on my statement for $12.00 a month to to websites which are Shoppersdiscounts.com and Reservationrewards.com.
The 2 sites ended up being the same and when I spoke to them they had no problem in sending me a full refund for the $12.00 each a month for a 6 month period
I then asked them where they had got my information from, since I never heard of either site and she told me that they got the info from Repairclinic.com
I don't know if this is the place to ask but is there someplace that I can send an offical report to make sure that this stops. The woman that I spoke to said she also canceled both accounts.
I know to cancel my credit card, but I would like to report this someplaceso that these people don't get away with what they did.........

Until May 2008 RepairClinic.com did offer a membership program called either Reservation Rewards or Shoppers Discount, both offered through the company Webloyalty. In order to sign up for the membership the customer was required to enter their email address, twice, next to the program details which explained how the charges were billed to the customer's credit card - then they had to click a button to send the information. We discovered that many people signed up for the program without reading the details - in fact this was the one common thread in nearly every complaint. However, never, under any circumstances, was a customer's contact or billing information shared with Webloyalty without a customer's explicit permission. And, the customer's credit card information was never used for any other purpose. This customer did not need to cancel the credit card. In fact, Webloyalty refunded the entire amount for any customer that claimed they hadn't intentionally signed up for the service.
Nevertheless, our intent was never to confuse customers, and so after receiving several complaints similar to this, we decided to part ways with Webloyalty.
Every customer of RepairClinic.com that signed up for this service whether they read all of the details or not can receive a complete refund by contacting Webloyalty - or the phone number on their credit card statement.
