I order a part for my cell phone from Repairs Universe. I accidently placed two orders for the same part and did not provide the correct billing address. I got an e-mail from Repairs Universe asking for the correct billing address so the orders could be processed and shipped. I promptly replied with the correct billing information and I stated I wanted to cancel one of the orders. Then just a few hours later, I received 2 confirmation e-mails stating that both orders had been shipped.

I then proceeded to e-mail Repairs Universe stating I canceled one of the orders before it was shipped and not to charge my account. They charged my account. Repairs Universe replied and stated "Sorry we must have missed that" and that they would send me the RMA information so I could return the product. It took them a week to get RMA information to me.

Repairs Universe wants me to pay a 15-20% restocking fee and for the shipping both ways. That is illogical and wrong. Yes I placed two orders, but I cancelled one. That order never would have been shipped if the Repairs Universe Employee didnt miss my request to cancel the order that was in the e-mail with the correct billing information. Orders are processed then shipped. Therefore, before Repairs Universe could not have shipped the order before they read that e-mail. Their employee messed up and still sent part.

I have spent weeks arguing my claim with Repairs Universe with no luck. Every single time I write to them they ignore the facts and only point to parts of the problem that fair them. Repairs Universe never gives a rebuttal to my argument. I openly admit I placed two orders, but I corrected that mistake before the order was shipped or even processed. I tried calling multiple times, but never got through and could not leave a message because their mailbox is full.

Repairs Universe is asking a customer to pay for their employee's mistake. That is not right and they  are taking advantage of the consumer to line their own pockets.

Repair Universe Now Ignoring all forms of contact

Repairs Universe offered me what they call a "bridge" to the problem of charging a reduced stocking fee. I replied back to them stating why that was not acceptable and asking for their argument why I should have to pay for the shipping and a restocking fee when this situation is their employee's fault. I sent them multiple e-mails to them and called. They ignored my e-mails until I told them if they didn't reply I would report them. Then a got a reply back ignoring all my questions and concerns. I still was not able to get through by phone.
