I'm just comeing her to tell yall that i had to deal with these people almost three years ago. i had 3 checks that i bounced and i refused to pay i saw on here that they were a scam. so i told them off and wouldnt pay. about 6 months into this i got pulled over for a speeding ticket. when the cop checked my licence he saw that there was a warrent for my arrest. after i refused they tried me on the 3 tickets with out me even there. the judge said they do this all the time. there are warrents out on a whole group of people from what i hear. i was brought into court with like 20 other people. they all had warrents for there arrest to. i had to go to court every month for like 6 or 7 months, when they played for the judge everything i said on the phone he asked why i didn't pay them. i told him they were a scam. my lawyer was trying to get me to shut up. about an hour later the judge sentenced me to 3 years. a couple of other people got worse cause they had more checks. one person got 5 years. i just got out last week. i still owe the bad checks. no one will hire me cause i have bad credit. and a record. an now i owe my lawyer fees and the bad checks and there lawyer fees. if these guys call you pay up!!! do you think they would be around for so long if they were breaking the law!!!! i was the one breaking the law and i got caught. look it up for your self.

So many holes in this story, and luckily, I have enough time to fill them.
First of all, warrants for your arrest would not have been issued had you gone to court when you were summoned. At that time, you would have make payment arrangements for your checks.
Secondly, no judge would have told you that a. this happens all the time, and b. that there would be warrants out against "like 20 other people."
Thirdly, you would not have been sentenced to 3 years in jail - you would have been released had you come up with the total amount of the debt you owed. Period.
And that's only if the County Prosecutor decided to file charges regarding the checks. Otherwise, you MAY have gotten a summons to Small Claims Court over the money - and for that, and pardon me if I raise my voice, YOU DO NOT GO TO JAIL. The United States does not have debtor's prisons.
Rephen Law Firm violates the FDCPA, and while they operate as a law firm, they are bottom feeding collection attorneys, plain and simple. And more often than not, they are attempting to collect debts that have already been paid, simply by frightening people into paying. By law, they HAVE to validate the debt, they aren't allowed to say that you will be arrested if you don't pay, and legit collection companies do NOT require you to pay by Western Union.

Yes, after three years in jail for writing bad checks, you've come to Rip Off Report to share your story? What absolute garbage. This is so clearly an attempt by Rephen Law Firm to intimidate people who they harass on a daily basis.
This is absolutely a lie. "Rephen Law Firm" hasn't even existed for this long. These companies constantly change names once too many people catch up with their fraud.

YOU have no one to blame but YOURSELF!!!
YOU wrote bad checks and refused to make restitution on these checks
YOU cost a business/person financial liability for YOUR bad checks
YOU were not ripped off period
Grow up and start taking responsibility for your own actions
