Reportage Jackets R.G.A. ripoff Sunnyvale California
I was at Costco and this Italian guy driving a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. He said it was a rental. He showed his passport and his picture of his wife. That he leaves tomorrow, bound to Italy. He showed me some jacket, these are nice looking jackets and I gave more than $1640 of money, thinking it was a good deal. He gave me the contact number and his calling card.
All in all I have more than 15 jackets which are labeled Reportage, 2 jackets that are Collezioni and 1 authentic looking pants. He said that it was a 2005/2006 collection. He gave me a tie for the suit as a token of thanks.
I feel stupid, when I search for the number and the information, none was found on the internet.
I wish I get the money back.

I am another victim of this ripoff. I was ripped off in foster city. There were these 2 italian guys in white jeep grand cherokee. They sold 3 leather jackets and 4 shirts for $300. I just did this to help those guys in money crisis.
Later when I came to my car after sometime, I saw the same jeep in just parking next my car. But now it is a different guy in the car(looked italian). He was looking at me to ripme off again. But he suddenly noticed the jackets in my car and drove away. The foolish guy went round the parking lot and parked the vehicle 3 cars away from me. By this time I called the cops. The cops came and surrounded his vehicle. They enquired him. They came to me and told that the guy looks perfectly legit and all his credentials are good. They warned that guy that he cannot sell the stuff like this. I noted his license plate #. Let me know if the # will be helpful to any one. I will send it to you.

At the Sunnyvale Washington Mutual.
As I got out of my car to head in to the bank, this many drove up in his SUV asking for help. I thought he just needed directions or something.
He went through his story about just finishing designer show here and flying back to Italy tonight and he didn't want to pay taxes on his stuff. He said he was going to give me 3 leather jackets for free and all I needed to do was pay for a box of 4 dress shirts, 2 belts and 2 ties for $500.
I said no and then he asked me if I had a girlfriend and he would throw in an extra women's leather jacket. I said no again and the threw in a Reportage Amarni Suit same as the one he was wearing. He even offered to pay me back the money when he went back to Italy. He said he lost all his money gambling at San Pablo casino and his credit cards were maxed out.
He showed me his passport, car rental receipt, credit card, airplane ticket and business card which all had his name Enzo. He even told me he was Catholic and showed me the cross around his neck. He kept begging for help and asking why I wouldn't help him.
I finally gave in and took the 4 jackets, 4 dress shirts and 1 business suit for $500.
I hope the police catch all these people using this scam. This is just wrong playing on people's sympathy.
