On a shopping centre parking lot near Thun, Switzerland, a car stopped near mine and an Italian man in business suit asked for directions how to drive
to Italy from there.

He also explained not to speak much German but he understood most of what said.

I showed him on a map and he said he had had a successful day and now he wanted to make a gift to someone, so he presented me a jacket and declared it was genuine sheepskin, thousand dollar's worth.

He then moaned about not having enough money to buy gas for driving to Rome, and because he would have problems with customs with the other very nice (3) jackets, he convinced me to buy them for "very little" money.

I had a good look at them and the quality seemed quite good, but it was getting dark and difficult to see.

I actually had to go to a nearby money machine to get some cash, but I had only given him 400 Swiss francs (about 285 U.S.D.) and when he saw I had 50 more than that, convinced me to give it to him as well.

By that time I knew I had most likely made a stupid mistake and at home, found basically nothing wrong with the jackets and only in bright light can you see: The material has very fine lines in it so it's not sheepskin at all.

Here is a practical test: cut off a few hairs of fur piece, hold it with tweezers, and with a common lighter try to inflame it. Real animal furs burn back a little from the flame and a bit of smoke is produced. > I just tested this to confirm.

Artificial Material :. The hairs just MELT back. No smoke, no glimmer.

Before he drove off, I demanded his address, and he just pointed to the logo on the labels, and finally wrote something into the little catalogue I now have
with 19 pages of men and women's jackets presented by models. On the back of this catalogue are the names of at least 60 cities or coutries, a wild mix all over the world and not in alphabethical order.

So now if anybody had a similar experience you may contact me.
