The slick English Speaking Italian "Carlos" tried to sell me the so called Armani Reportage clothing. He caught me coming out of work (a health club) on a Saturday afternoon. Directions to airport, help me out, clothing allowance, excess baggage, designer fashion for cost of material etc etc. He tried to sell me 2 x suede (antelope) and 2 x leather (lambskin) jackets and a linen suit for $1000. something had me doubting his authenticity, and that was his persistance in proving he was legitimate, passport, work "reportage" card and the like. i said i was interested, and so asked to try on the clothes, to which he obliged. I went (alone, to his mistake) into the club, and thought I'd check on the validity of his claims. I typed "Reportage Armani Italy" into goolge and got this site, with its many complaints. I could feel myself boiling from the inside, and had an idea. I locked the clothes in my office and walked out of the club. On exiting Carlos approached me with a puzzled look on his face. "Where are the clothes?" he asked. "What clothes" I replied. He looked terribly nervous, "Where are the jackets, the suit?" he added. I responded with "I'm not sure what you're talking about, if you have a problem, you'd better call the police, or i suggest you go away!" He had a look that was half way between 'I'm going to kill you' and 'oh sh*t, I've been busted'. he left and hopped in his Europcar hire car, and drove off. 4 x jackets and a linen suit = $0. One back for the punters!
