Reputation.com is a large corporation that promises to improve a company or individual's web presence with "aggressive marketing campaigns" on the Internet with positive content. Through its publishing department/subsidiary company, Sky Publishers, Reputation.com employs a team of highly skilled and highly educated contract/remote writers and editors. While clients pay thousands of dollars for services, Sky Publisher's/Reputation.com's writers and editors have consistently received lower and lower pay rates over the years.

Recently, the company, under the direction of Heather (Heidi) Subba and Danielle (Diane) Snow among others, reduced writer and editor pay abruptly and without good reason to wages under the U.S poverty level. The content team of writers and editors requires an excellent command of the English language, basic SEO knowledge, meticulous attention to detail, and passion for helping improve the reputation of clients. These highly skilled workers deserve much more than minimum wage pay.

Freelance writers be advised that this company and its internal team will expect the highest standards from you under hostile conditions. In fact, you will unlikely see transparency, ethical behavior, and honest communication.

Consumers in need of reputation management: Choose another company or work with a boutique Internet marketing firm for your reputation management and public relations needs.

After years in the Internet marketing and s****.> After researching Reputation.com's online reputation (and the comments on the web about employees such as Heather Subba and Danielle Snow) on the web, it seems the company will be needing their own services soon. It also seems like an incredibly stupid business move to affect the livelihood of hundreds of people well-versed in SEO principles. There are already hundreds of negative comments and unfavorable feedback from former clients and employees on various websites and forums.

I strongly encourage freelance writers and editors to diversify their sources of income and avoid relying on one client for work--especially working with Sky Pub or Reputation.com.
