ResCare Normal Life Unfair policies Oxnard, California
My daughter up until Friday of this past week was an employee of your company out of the Ventura County office in Oxnard, CA (Joanne) and Ventura, (Petit Street) and I have heard numerous stories pertaining to these two locations. In the Ventura (Petit street) house you have young lady barley 20 years old as the supervisor, (Brittney) who doesnt know her butt from a whole in the ground and takes pleasure in those that are released of their duties and my daughter was the victim of this shoddy operated houses. About two weeks ago there were two residences that were transferred in from another house. These two clients were severely disabled and took a lot of special care. The employees of the Petit and Joanne house are not trained to handle these exceptional people, and were understaffed, causing neglect to take place in the Petit street house and yet had one of them pass away, while another one was sent back to the home she had lived most of her life, as she wasnt eating. At the time these clients were in the house there were only two on staff at a time and therefore were unable to keep control of the other residence that required constant care. My daughter was devoted to her clients and loved being there for them and did a fine job. But according to her supervisor Albert she was dismissed due to hear say of one of the other staff members observing her so called misjudgments. It wasnt because she failed at her duties as a caregiver but because she was observed on her cell phone on various occasions, changed her clothes just prior to leaving the house and supposedly gossiping on the house phone. She was never warned independently of these disciplinary problems before she was dismissed. She was never given the chance to change these so called poor behaviors. She was declared guilty without a trial, by your incompetent staff. There was obviously a stoolie amongst her coworkers and you know how people feel about stoolies.
This isnt a easy job and not everyone can do it, and when you get an employee who is willing to do the work when the pay is so low, they need to rethink those that they dismiss, for minuscule reasons. This is only the beginning I am just getting started.
