Thought we were booking directly with the hotel on line.   Upon check-in on Friday night, our plans had changed and we asked the hotel clerk to please cancel our room for Monday night.

Hotel clerk informed us that we did not book directly with them and that we used a 3rd party "Reservation Counter" and he was unable to cancel our room for Monday night.  We needed to contact Reservation Counter. Contacted Reservation Counter on Saturday to cancel our room on Monday night.  They would need to get back to us.

Thank you for contacting us. We are a booking company and are not associated directly with any specific hotel. This means that we are not responsible for the hotel’s facility or its management. We have called the hotel regarding your refund request, however, they informed us that they would not be willing to process a refund due to their cancellation policy.
This is their policy and we must comply.

Jose Daniel Gonzalez Arreaga is a flat out liar!  As a company that spends 280 nights a year at hotels, we are very familiar with hotel cancelation policy's.  After reading Ripoff Report, it appears that Reservation Counter has a NO REFUND POLICY.
