We finally received an installment pay of $500.00, two weeks late, to reimburse us. The remaining balance is $2,450.00 and the next installment payment ($500.00) is due 7/1/2013. They still owe us for our out of pocket cost $2,262.22.

We had a similar experience with La Jolla/Residence several years ago, filed a report with PROFECO, tried to work with Bank of America (what a shock that was) and after about a year, won our case for $26,000 via PROFECO. Yesterday we got a call from someone in San Jose saying they wanted to know if we had problems with the timeshare points as they were trying to clear the books because the timeshare had been reorganized, and is under new owners, due to fraud and tax evasion. The telephone number of this company is 408-905-1904. I do not know if this too is a scam but wanted to supply the info. Good luck. Be sure to write to EVERYONE you can think of - President of Mexico, PROFECO, Attorney General of your state, and post on as many websites as you can that are related to time share scams. This company has flooded the market with fake positive comments about their resort to make it difficult for prospective buyers to get information. My husband and I have never been lied to so convincingly. They are very good at what they do. SCAM.

We attended their presentation in June of 11, on a Wednesday. After thinking it over, we decided to cancel. We went to a notary, then to the Post Office in Mazatlan on the next Friday. We notified PROFECO. We jumped through the hoops. Now it is 2 years later. We have received $1876.70 refunded of our $11,500 initial purchase...Now we are looking into hiring an attorney to persue this for us. This is one of the biggest timeshare scams in Mexico, I also found this forum from Mexican Timeshare Solutions with more complaints made on la Jolla, check this out: La Jolla Timeshare Complaints
