Began loan process in mid March 2013 with this company. Needed appraisal done and paid $450 for it. 3 weeks later they sent out a rep from Nationwide Appraisal who was not licensed to do appraisals in Hardin Co. (Residential knew I lived in Hardin) so had to wait another week for another appraiser. He based appraisal contingent on painting a small barn on the property. These repairs were made by the end of June and I immediately contacted Residential to send the appraiser out, but it took several weeks for that to happen. I even contacted the appraisal company and was told the request has to come from the finance company. They had not contacted them yet. By the time they did come out, the appraisal was past being current and I had to pay $170 to make it current!

Finally the appraisal was done and everything seemed to be going along fine by Mid July. Then my contact person became unreachable, with no further communication about who I should contact. Finally after 1 1/2 weeks, he contacted me and stated he had been in training and my file had been turned over to someone else, however he said things still looked good.

The new person never contacted me, so I requested her supervisors name and spoke with her. As imagined, I was very unhappy. Progress came to a standstill and because the process had taken so long, new documents had to be sent and signed. This was done immediately by me and finally I was told the final papers were approved and someone would be contacting me to meet  and sign the final papers.

By now, it's mid August and I was told by the loan officer that I did not need to make my current mortgage payment, as this would be paid off along with some credid card debt. When the end of August got closer, I realized the credidt cards needed paid and they were, although some of them had late fees. Late Friday August 30, the loan officer called and said there was a problem with my credit because the mortgage was overdue. I had until the 31st to get it paid. I begged, borrowed, sold jewlery to come up with the money, only to find out my mortgage company does not accecpt payments on the weekend and because it is a holiday also, the payment won't post until Sept 4, 2013, very severly affecting my credit and killing the loan.

Do not go with these guys. I had the same experience as the previous consumer. I started the loan six months ago, every time I questioned them on why the process was taking so long, I was given another loan officer who restarted the whole process and then seemed to disappear. This went on about 4 or 5 times over the course of the six months. I was finally told that it was too long since they started the loan and they could not close it because they had to restart the process. They threw in lies that they tried to contact me 4 times but could not reach me - this is the line they use to back out of their comittment. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS - they are dishonest and incompetent.
