residential warranty services, INC Bad Service. Not honest. carmel Indiana
The warranty was bought by the seller. Now I wish the seller just gave the money to me. The warranty is a joke. I reported a leaking pipe in the basement. I called three times before the plumber came. First time I was told to file a warranty policy notice. Okay, maybe reasonable. Second time, another person answered my phone and just told me that a plumber will contact me in 9 hours. I waited two days and no body contacted me. I called back again and the receptionest said they will let a plumber call me again. After another two days, the plumber finally came. But the story just began. The plumber said my water softer is a junk and need to be replaced at the price about $820. I said I need to install a water powered back sump pump. The plumber said it is not a good decision and they can install a whole new set sump pumps at $800. I refused these two offers because I believe my existing softener works just fine and my plan on the back up sump pump should also be fine. Then they took a look at the leaking pipe and said the leaking pipe is associated to the softener, hence NOT INCLUDED IN THE WARRANTY. I need to pay them $250 to redo the leaking part of the pipe completely. Well, the leak is near to the junction of the pipe form the softener but the leak is definitely on the main water pipe. Why is this not included in the warranty? I called the company for explanation and the receptionist kept arguing that my leaking pipe is indeed not included. I am not strong at arguing. But then I asked: why I was not informed that my leaking pipe is not included? The receptionist said I am responsible and should be aware of this. Okay, as the best as I know, it should be included. Luckily the leak is not too bad and it gave me enough time to find other options. It is realy an easy job. I can not do it only because I do not have the tools. I was never been this disappointed. I paid $50 to let the plumber leave my house. Yes, $50 for nothing!!!! If you want to buy home warranty for yourself or your buyer, choose some company wisely or just save the money. I can not imagine if I had a worse leaking pipe and still naively rely on the warranty. Just a joke. I will never contact this company again. Who wants to pay for pain, as what happended to me today?

Filing an inaccurate and potentially actionable report on the internet is easy, especially when you believe the company you're complaining about isn't in touch with their clients. While we have only had in our history a couple of reports here, including one where the complainant apologized for making the report which was based on a misunderstanding, we serve well over 75,000 clients monthly- and we maintain a great reputation because we go above and beyond. We've literally never had a complaint where we didn't offer a resolution.
So let's take the anonymity off the table for the complainant who filed the false report:
Nan Jia & Chenghao Chu of 3469 Modesto Lane in Westfield, Indiana.
Now here's the real story:
Nan Jia & Chenghao Chu called in with a plumbing leak, we dispatched a contractor. Not only was the leak found part of a water softener system (which is not a part of the coverage they purchased), it was also siliconed as part of a prior amateur repair. The contractor charged a trip charge and nothing else.
After the contractor left, the client called in to complain. This was on June 23rd, 2014. He was upset that he had to pay a trip charge, and our claims department did exactly what we do whenever someone is unhappy- offered him a refund of that trip charge. Unfortunately, he was short with the representative and hung up on her before he could actually hear that we were willing to write him a check! We called the number we had on file and it went straight to voicemail.
Not only were we willing to send the refund, the money he is complaining about frivolously here, but we were chasing after him to do it! We take customer satisfaction seriously!
After seeing this post, I instructed my staff to continue to try to get ahold of the client to offer him money. We tried on both July 7th and July 9th, getting voicemail and leaving messages both times.
There is no legitimate complaint here, as soon as the complainant check his voicemail, confirms this story to be accurate, and posts a recission and confirmation that what I am saying is accurate, he can call our office at 1-800-544-8156 and talk to any of our claims staff, all of whom I have personally made aware of the situation, we will verify a post was made, and we will send a check to him that very same day....like we have tried to over and over again!
