I was first contacted by Alan Bright (1-407-608-5371) on 4/11/18. He left a voicemail (I still have the vm) stating he was calling about the 2018 rental options for my Interval International membership. I just that week happened to be trying unsuccessfully to get in touch with my timeshare rep about renting my time so I returned the call. Alan did not answer so I left a voicemail. I was then contacted by Sarah (1-321-234-0622, I still have a vm from her also) who said she was following up for Alan who was out of the office. Notice the two different area codes. Sarah explained I had four, one week getaways from Interval International that I could activate and then they could rent them out for me.

She said they had corporate clients already looking to rent the 4 weeks at $1400/week. All I had to do was pay $1497 which would activate the weeks and cover advertising and insurance. I also had the option of instead paying a one time fee of $2399 to repeat the process for a total of five years. Sarah explained once the weeks were rented they would mail me a certified check for the full amout of rent, which would be $5600. Once I agreed to the 5 year program at $2399, she transferred me to Paul Catineau. Paul Catineau repeated the info Sarah had given me, then gave me the following company information:  Paul Catineau's direct number 1-321-320-9414, Customer Support number 1-855-443-6080, License Number TC5270, address 10244 East Colonial Dr., Suite 111, Orlando, FL 32817, and the company name RVI (Resort Vacations International).

Paul then asked if I had received a credit card when I bought my timeshare and recommended I use that one so I could get the points for using it. He took down my credit card info and then transferred me to Ashlynn for finalizing. Ashlynn made sure I agreed to everything and then emailed a contract to me that I signed electronically using DocuSign. She gave me a verification number as well. She also explained it would take 60 - 90 days to start seeing offers. What happened to the corporate clients Sarah had told me about? That was the end of the phone conversation.

The charge on my credit card for $2399 showed up from Total Resort Solutions, 108 Commerce St, Suite 105, Lake Mary, FL 32746.

The next day I received 4 duplicate emails welcoming me to the club and giving me a link to the advertisement of my timeshare on www.resortvacationsnow.com . The Property ID on my ad was #19937. Remember, all this occurred on 4/11/18, yet if you go to the website, click Rent a Timeshare, and search that Property ID, the posting date is 1/19/18. Also, every single ad on the site has the same Agent, John, and when you click his name he has no phone number or picture. He only has a link for email. Also, even though you can view several properties on the site, there is not a button to click on that says Yes I want to rent this. You can only look. I scrolled through every property on the site and could not find my ad. I could only find it by specifically searching for the Property ID. Another issue is they are advertising my timeshare and not Interval Getaways.

I have contacted Interval directly who confirmed "this is a sales call from another company trying to represent partnering with Interval....block their telephone number on your phones. Please update your passwords on your Interval account...You may book Getaways as you wish around the clock. They cannot be rented as its a live system. We do not allow renting of your deposited weeks..." I still have this email from Interval as well.

I am making this report on 4/27/18. I have not heard anything from RVI since the welcome email I received on 4/12/18. I have not tried to contact them as I don't currently have the time and I frankly don't see what good it will do. They will just say I am past the 10 day cancellation period and won't refund the money.
