Resorts international Inc Resorts International Resale of Timeshare scam Orlando, Florida
Resorts International Inc charges customers/victims $695 with the promise of selling or renting their timeshare within 6 months. They state they will advertise and sell or rent your property but never do.
Every time you call them you get the same couple of scripts read to you.
"We have a company interested in your property but they have to have it approved by their board of directors", or some other delay tactic, "and should get a final offer within 30-45 days".
They never call you back. When you call them, they give you the same story, "we are still negotiating with a company interested in your property". "We are attending a big event in 3 weeks in Miami where we are marketing your property and feel really good we will have offers."
Nothing ever happens. When you try to get a refund they get ugly and rather than demonstrating what they have done to sell or advertise you property, they try to quote how you signed a contract and are obligated to let them try to sell your property. They tell you unless you sell your property for within 20% of the price you agree to allow Resort International sell it at, then you cannot get a refund. Several of my friends have used this company, All with the exact same results. Big Ripoff.

I spoke with a Director and when she was made aware of my situation and the problems we had experienced, she was very professional and expressed a genuine desire to provide a positive customer service experience. She offered to refund my entire purchase price and gracefully apologized for the experience I had. I wish I knew to speak to a director earlier in my process. Thank you Better Business Bureau and Resorts International.
