RESORTS INTERNATIONAL MARKETING CORP. SCAM!!! CON-ARTISTS/LIERS/THIEVES - BEWARE!!! ROYAL SUNSET CLUB Members!!!

In January, 2005, I upgraded my Time Share to a 2-bedroom at Royal Sunset Club in Cancun, Mexico. I paid $499.00 to Resorts International Marketing and was told that I would have a return on my investment for every week that I deposited with them (Resorts International Marketing Corp.) and be paid $1700.00. To reduce the cost of the upgrade by $3400.00, I gave them 2 weeks initially. All together, I paid over $8,500.00 for this time share. And I banked another week after they promised I would see $1700.00 in 60 days. I was ROYALLY SCAMMED!!!

I contacted Resorts Internationl Marketing many times over the next 6 months but they kept giving me excuses about the rentals being slow moving. Later, I got other excuses and no returned phone calls. I tried chatting with someone online to find out where I was on the list of units to be rented and was told I was 7th somewhere around August, 2005. I moved and gave them my updated contact information by email, but still no check to this day, August 15, 2006.

I met another couple in Baltimore, MD in January, 2006, who were staying at the Royal Sunset Club and they were also scammed. I know there must be more of us in this situation and we need to do something about it. Resorts International must be stopped from scamming others. It is also wrong of Royal Sunset to be affiliated with them in their presentation and misrepresenting the return of investment. It is presented so logically and believable that even educated people asking questions in the sales room don't even detect that it is a scam. Will someone please legally help resolve this terrible scam.

Sincerely,
Dorothea
