Resorts Plus International, LLC Fraud & Decepyive Pracicess Orlando, Florida
On Nov. 8, 2011 my wife and I attended a solicited presentation at The Waterfront Inn in the Villages, FL., put on by Resorts Plus International LLC.
We were interested in finding the best price for a transatlantic cruise, London hotel and return airfare for a small group from our neighborhood.
The presenter made a number statements that led us to believe that membership in R.P.I. would be beneficial, as they explained that due to the fact that they had 250,000 vacation families, they would buy in bulk and sell any trips, etc. not used by their members to wholesalers such as Travelocity and that they could be reached 24/7 at their toll free phone number.
We were offered a discounted membership rate if we paid by immediately by check, and that we could cancel the contract within 3 days.
We were e-mailed our user name and password on Nov. 16, 2011 which was well beyond the 3 day cancellation period. (Kind of hard to evaluate a program that you do not have full access to.)
We attempted to get information on the cruise that we were interested in and found that the best rate, through them, was the same as we could get by booking direct with cruise line. We checked another cruise and found that through R.P.I. the advertised special price was $453.00. Cruises.com had the exact same cruise for $399.00. (So much for great bargains.)
We called their 24/7 booking number and found that they did not work weekends.(So much for 24/7.)
We then checked Florida Division of Corporations and learned that Resorts Plus International, LLC was registered 5/14/2010. (How did they get a quarter of a million families in 18 months?)
We requested our $4,170.00 fee be refundedOur request was denied.
We have sued them for fraud and deceptive practices and have a court date on November 29, 2012 in Orlando, FL.
Is anyone interested in being a witness for us?

John, we had a similar experience here in Venice. Unfortunately our presentation was on a Thursday afternoon and our cancellation letter reached RPI too late since there is not mail out of here on Saturday afternoon through Sunday. We tried to arbitrate through our credit card company but no luck. RPI has you and it is worthless as you state. Better prices are easily available from other sites.
We received lower prices for hotel rooms for our son's wedding, etc. If your attorney feels we can help your court case, feel free to have him call us.
