I was contacted (by means of US MAIL) through www.thejobplanet.com (where I posted my resume) from someone pretending to be Sights on Service, INC. with a REP ID # PS 7920-23.

The letter came in a standard envelope with no return address and was post marked from Canada. The canadian zip code provided does not exist. It had an official thejobplanet.com letterhead with a Sights on Service Address.

The letter was giving me my first PAID assignment for mystery shopping, it included a check from Resource One Credit Union in Dallas, TX for $2980.23. The letter gave me instructions to deposit the check into my account and withdrawal the funds within 48 hours and wire (moneygram) $2660.00 to a person in Canada, and to keep the rest for myself.

It included a questionnaire sheet about moneygram customer service, to fill out and fax to 253-563-2111 after the transaction was completed. The letter was signed by a Stephen Greene and had official sights on service copyrights and also said it was correlated with Radioshack, Starbucks, Gap, BestBuy, Applebees, JC Penney, and Wal-Mart.

This is part of a canadian mail scam, where it's not the real canadian post mark, and the deposited check will bounce.
