This company contacted our office a year ago. I was new, only been here a month, and when they called, I was very busy.  TI spoke to someone named "Sara" who told me someone in the office had signed a toner contract that needed to be filled ASAP before the reduced toner rate doubled.  She made it sound like this was an urgent matter and needed to be addressed immediately.  She gave me the impression that the contract had been signed months ago, maybe even longer.  I said "okay, send it to me".  She did not then tell me that this supposed contract would entail 30 toners being sent to me at $500/toner over a year long period.

In April 2014 she called to say that I only had 6 toners left on the contract and she would be sending them.  Again I told her I didn't need more toner, again she told me I had to complete the order or I would be charged nearly $3000 for breaking this supposed contract.  I said to her "okay, but this is it, right?"  She assured me it was.

Yesterday (June 11, 2014) I received a phone call from Sara again to say I needed to be sent 8 more toners to complete the contract.  I was so mad!  I told her she had told me two months earlier that we were done.  She said "no, this last shipment will complete the order".  When I told her I was going to refuse the shipment she said I can't, it will break the contract and we'll be billed $3000 in penalties.

I didn't sleep at all last night thinking about this and did a google search on the company and this page was the first to come up.  I e-mailed Sara immediately with a link to this site with all the complaints against this company.  I then told her I would be refusing the shipment, not making a payment, and contacting a lawyer about getting our money back. I can't beleive I fell for this!

I am confused as to whether you are an employee or an owner of the company.  You state 'I was new', which would lead one to believe you are just a regular employee. But then later you mention hiring an attorney, which would lead one to think that you are the owner. If you are just an employee, why would have taken it upon yourself to order anything?  Once you saw or whoever works in Accounts Payable had seen, that you were being charged $500 per toner, why would you not have cancelled the order? Once you or a responsible party, found out it was a scam and there was no pre-existing contract, have  not immediately cancelled? Finally, if you are are just a regular employee, I am surprised you still have a job.
