The whole truth and real description about Restoringdata and their attitude towards clients and the people who work for them. I'm not afraid to say it, because I see how Restoring Data deceive customers government and me with my colleagues.

   I had been working as a senior engineer in Restoringdata for 3.6 years and then resigned on my own decision . I want to tell all about this company and their working methods. The company's founders Restoringdata Ilana and Noam Kenig came from Israel six years ago. These people have no extensive experience and understanding of the data recovery. They are trying to find and hire engineers from other countries. The company does not have certified clean room facilities. The company has no real electronics-engineering graduates and trained certified engineers. They do not conduct research, they do not have the lab for research, they are trying to get and buy cheap technology. They do not have a stable and accurate prices, and mark prices as they want, depending on the client's status and how the clients value their data.

For last 2 years a manager Monty Peets have been working there, his target is to get as much money from clients as he can and deceive them. In any way he will to lure customers with lower price, but once you get the case order  he begins to say that everything is very bad and the price increases by 2-3 times. This means that the percentage of his earnings also increases. They set the price on the basis of the one who comes to them and decide if it is advantageous to do it or not. They do not worry about the safety or quality restore of customer data. All that is important is to earn more money. I have been one certified and an experienced engineer. A few co-workers who worked with me (and were diligent workers and good people) left the company because of the pressure and the bad attitude of the owner. They were silent because they were afraid that would not get good feedback and find a job.

After a while Monty Peets became Sales Director.  He learned about the income of engineers and became envious that they earned more than him. He began to behave like a boss, looking for mistakes where they couldn't even be, showing the owner, what a hard worker he is, he is the only one in the company who was doing everything right, and everyone else just executed his orders. He behaved despicably, humiliating others in the eyes of the owner. He made fun of the owners and mocking on them in front of employees, and then, as if nothing had happened, reported to the owner and scolded workers. Working with him was impossible.

I told the boss that the manager interfered with my work, but he did not react.  I was exhausted work in such conditions and wanted to resign, they began to threaten me with my contract, that they would judge me or put me in jail if I work with a competitor or start my own business . I would have not left a company if the relation had been humanistic, and business owners had opened their eyes and looked at what had been happening in their company. Just make decent conditions for worker and people will not leave the company.

I was forced to leave Vancouver. For the work that I had been carrying out in good faith for three and a half years, I was not given any good reviews or refence for me. All employees who have worked with me, could not understand why it was impossible to dismiss the manager, because of whom all suffered, and let go engineer who brought the main income of the company.

Now they call my partners and try to set them against me. I have never hidden where I am and what I do. Call, write, threaten only me. Why those people and my partners?  I wrote a statement to the police, government, human resources, emmigration service, LMO and other public services, that this company pursues me and and prevents me from earning a living. I'm afraid of starting business because they will judge me for no reasons. I have to protect my family and myself. I was offended, and I just simple will not leave it.  I just do my job and do it right, what no one can reproach me! I help people to recover data, repair, configure computers, and am ready to undertake any hard work and the money is not in the first place. I am now wondering what they can respond or comment in their own defence and justification? Now they will probably say that I am lying and trying to harm them as a competitor.

No one can reproach me that I did not work well.  I was never came late, did the hardest job no one wanted to do, I worked weekends if it was needed, but never was paid for this and so on.

He's pissed off me ! And they tried to screw with my life. I never turn back from this point !

I think the owner be crying in his beer tonight !

This twisted “truth” couldn’t be further from the truth:

ReStoring Data has been in business in Canada for more than 8 years with the owner’s background coming through extensive computer forensics and data recovery experience in the USA.  The company DOES have a certified Class-100 clean room bench and the entire technical team is certified.  We consistently invest in the BEST data recovery tools in the industry and in R&D. In fact, we have just developed a revolutionary Drobo recovery tool which has already proved itself in multiple Drobo recoveries.  All clients are welcome to visit our state-of-the-art lab.  Our quotes are always firm and a pure reflection of the complexity of the recovery and is always approved by the customer before we begin the work.  All customer service is transparent and professional, and the owners’ dedication to both clients and employees couldn’t be any stronger. Aside from winning Company of the year with Small Business BC, we were also named Finalists at the 2013 BBB Market Excellence Awards, which shows our high standard of leadership, character, and commitment to ethics.

As for Oleg Gritsev:

His first work experience in Canada was with Data Recovery Corp (also known as DataRetrieval), where his employment was terminated after only a few months of work. He was then working for our company, where he was given an immense amount of help from the owners (above and beyond what any employer would give an employee, and Oleg and his wife know that), from immigration (helping him and his family immigrate to Canada) to personal medical support, and more. Unfortunately, while working with us, Oleg was working as and for the competition and stole some of the company’s clients. Towards the end of his employment, he was seen at the competition’s facility. Knowing he would be fired, he immediately decided to submit his resignation letter, while he was thanking the company and owners for all the help he was given. The day following his termination (January 1, 2014), he entered the office and aggressively demanded that a recommendation letter be given to him.  Also, on this day, he was sending bullying texts to Monty, whom he was quite friendly with, until his deceitful actions were revealed. In addition, he has been contacting different organizations with the goal of defaming the company (unsuccessfully). After a few months of working for the local competition in Vancouver, Oleg moved to Calgary (where he and his wife always wanted to move for social reasons), and together with his wife, Olena Gritseva, opened “Data Recovery Expert” (www.datarecoveryexpert.ca).  Ever since his termination, Oleg has been spamming Yelp and Google with fake bad reviews (and now, desperately, using this site as well), as he doesn’t know any other way to compete and feels frustrated with the wrong decisions he made. It is us who filed a harrasment report against him with the RCMP, and not the other way around.

Oleg’s stab-in-the-back mentality and unethical behavior is not tolerated in our company.

It is quite ironic that he doesn’t see how his current behaviour is embarrassing and damaging him more than anyone.  

We couldn’t be happier with our current loyal and dedicated team and wish the best of luck to whomever chooses to deal with untrustworthy Oleg Gritsev and his dubious company.
