Complaint Review: Resume My Career

I read the negative reviews and even called the Sr. Manager Justin to hear his commentary.  He claimed that the bad reviews were unfounded. 

Given the relative low price, I decided to take the risk and they were able to condense my 4 page resume down to 2 pages - something that I was struggling to do.  I also paid for the rush service.

My results were not spectacular to say the least.  The rapid turn around time was late and when I received the first version of my edited resume - the artfully crafted words I had previously worked hard to communicate my achievements were lazily replaced with "successfully" over and over and over within the 2 page document. 

A sixth grader would have picked that up immediately if there was any quality control or care made over what they sent out.  I was initially shocked into a lack of response and didnt know whether to go through their 'edit process' as I completely lost faith in their professionalism.

I made mention of this to Justin recently, a few months after, and he simply restated that I could have gone through the edit process but that window of time expired.  He explained they used a software to create the resumes and somehow there must have been a glitch.  He didnt explain for the lack of a quality review prior to sending something out to a client, nor give any form of waiver to review their work again.

Net-net, you do get what you pay for and if you are simply looking for a reformat of your resume, they are ok but do not expect much in terms of real content or real analysis to improve your resume.  In the end, I never used theirs and now need to go through their doc with a fine tooth comb to determine how much junk I have to remove.  Not Happy and again, heed those warnings and do your research prior to committing funds with these guys.
