I recently retired from the military and need to begin another career. I was using the resumes they gave us in the military transition class with no luck, so I decided to give Resume Professional Writers a try. I was charged over $150. It was a total waste. First, the asked me to complete a detailed questionnaire chronicling my work history. They also promised a personal representative to assist me over the phone. So far so good. I had to wait 2 weeks to speak with a human and when I finally did, they just said "OK" to everything I said and assured me my resume would be great. The first draft was filled to grammatical and syntax errors as if they just copied and pasted sections of my questionnaire together and added a few buzz words. I corrected the copy and sent it back. At this point, all they did was re-send what I had corrected. A waste of time. I decided to accept the resume and continue working on all the errors myself. It took a while. The also charged e for an electronic version to be used in the cut and paste blocks of an application. This was also a waste as I could have just saved the original as a "text only" file.. They guarantee an interview in 45 days. Its been 6 months with no interview. Most experts that have looked at my "professional" resume tear it apart. Save yourself some money, don't use them.
