We received information for a home modification loan in the mail. We know they are scams but decided to call this one. What a mistake!

It seemed so legit. All the right words HUD forms, equal housing opportunity. What a mess!

We applied for a home modification with a company proclaiming to be associated with HUD's Making Homes Affordable. We initally spoke with a woman identified as Rosey Fern (412) 508-3599, who completed a phone interview. She said that this interview would be passed on to her superviosr to determine whether we qualified for one of 3 HUD programs, and if we did I would be contacted by the processing department to complete the process. I was then contacted by Justin Diaz (313) 456-9470. He explained taht I qualified for the MHA Program and that loan documents would be forwared via fax for signatures and I was to attach a cashiers check for $3,085.38 and mail all to the processing center at 17870 Newhope St STE 104-547. Fountain Valley, CA 92708. I sent the package Fed Express and have never heard from them again. We were fools don't be dooped by these scammers.

We scrapped together the last of our cash opting to not pay bills because we were going to be able to save our home from sale the following week. These are vile people that prey on unsuspecting individuals. We thought we did our homework as we have heard so many stories and can't believe people get duped into doing something so stupid. Well we were stupid and it is costing us our home and late payments not to mention food for our family. We just can't believe we did this! We have reported them to the Attorney General and the police, the FTC and will continue to do so.  DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY!
