Complaint Review: REUVEN GIGI

I needed an Electric Strike Door Lock (Complete Buzzer Lock - Buzz In Lock System) for my business.

On Dec 8, 2014 , I’ve got Rubi’s number from one of my clients. I didn’t have time to research, rookie mistake, needed it ASAP.  I called Rubi, asked about the service and price (total was $750 on the phone). I didn’t negotiate the price, agreed right away, sent him pictures of my door, current lock and my address via phone, and scheduled an appointment for the following day (Dec 9, 2014)

He showed up without the necessary tools (ladder, cutting disc etc.), called one of his friends to stop by and help him, did horrible job, left a great mess and charged $880 (additional $130). I didn’t even ask why the price increase, I just wanted him and his friend to leave ASAP (very rude, aggressive and unprofessional behavior).

I have copy of text messages between me and "Rubi", showing me trying, very politely to ask him to stop by and fix his work (gave him 3 different opportunities, 3 different days). He never showed up or bothers to call back.

I had to call another locksmith cover up the damages (the damage is too great. It will cost a few thousands to fix it completely, need to replace the door frame). Of course I had to spend a few more hundreds for the cosmetic work.

I have some images showing the poor quality of his work.

1. Still look very bad (he destroyed our entrance door and door frame)

2. Doorbell not working

I urge you not to use his services

The only reason he keep getting some business is by scamming and taking advantage of the system. He keeps moving around and changes the companies names and websites.
