Rev Customs LLC Classic Car Sales Scam Mogadore Ohio
The deposit of $500.00 was processed from my bank account to this business via Zelle to reserve the vehicle.
The price was also agreed upon 2 days later.
I asked for the VIN of the vehicle to apply for insurance before picking it up.
My mechanic and I drove 7 hours with a uHaul auto transport to this business on a Friday night to pick it up Saturday morning.
When we arrived we were informed that the vehicle could not be driven by us and that only Shon Holtzapple could only drive it. The reason given was a previous customer crashed a vehicle on a test drive so they don't carry that insurance anymore.
After he drove the vehicle around the block we again asked to drive it at which point he asked us what the difference was if he drove it or we did.
I explained that to pay this much money for a car and not be able to test drive it was a deal breaker.
This was also not disclosed to me in any written correspondence or telephone correspondence in addition to the deposit not being refundable.

Volumes and volumes can be written to detail the stupid, non-sensicle, lack of common sense things people do just because of a dumb, stupid car. Their tongue is hanging out so far because they just need to have THAT car, they will very gladly throw common sense out the window=FACT!

Your payment of a deposit on a vehicle prior to negotiating the price was a total lack of common sense. Agreeing to purchase the vehicle sight unseen without a test-drive wasn't too bright either. You made yourself an easy target.
The vehicle was no longer available to other potential buyers following your paid deposit; so naturally, your deposit is nonrefundable.
