Rev. Sammie J. Edwards and his wife, Shawntara are professional tenants that know how to use the system. They pretend to be honest Christians (he's a minister), but they'll lie to your face and steal from you.  He'll even threaten violence if you try to stand up to him. The Edwards like to live above their means but are unwilling to actually pay for the goods and services that they use.
Sammie and Shawntara got into my rental under false pretenses. He used an alias to cover up the fact that he's a petty criminal that has been arrested for unemployment fraud and check fraud. He used friends to pretend to be his previous landlord. Of course, he needed to move in immediately so I didn't have much chance to check him out. That's how he operates.

Sammie and Shawntara Edwards signed a one year lease. but stopped paying after 2 months. They had to be legally evicted because they would not leave on their own. I am now owed thousands of dollars in unpaid rent. Plus, they left the house and yard a mess. Somehow, they also felt entitled to steal the wood cabinets, shelves, furniture, and curtains.  They left the carpets, sinks, and walls a mess. There were 84 holes left in the walls. They claim that we misunderstood them and were disrespectful because we got tired of hearing excuses and asked them to either pay or move out.

Do not do business with Sammie or Shawntara Edwards. They will rob you without any concern of how that effects you.

glad to hear you are following your rights and going thru the proper legal channels. Keep a level head . Your documentation and proper receipts for the damages will be looked upon well in the court system. Sorry that they damaged your property.

Eviction completed, but they tried to file for harassment

Yes, they were legally evicted. But, they failed to return the keys and tried to block the eviction by claiming harassment.  They wouldn't move or return the keys, so I had to call several times to get updates on their proposed move out date. Mrs. Edwards called the sheriff's dept to claim harassment. They were probably looking for cash for keys and got miffed when I wouldn't comply. Anyway, they are finally gone and I have filed for damages for rent and court costs. Hurray!

They were legally evicted? Strange as that is how its supposed to be. There is no such thing as an illegal eviction silly one ,unless your the tenant and the LANDLORD locks you out and burns the place down.. Did you file in court for past dues and damages? If not then please get on it.

Best to you in the future on the rentals. Its wonderful to have someone else pay the mortgage and you get the benefits.
