Owners are Ron Ayers (a.k.a. Bill) and Dave Allen (a.k.a. Woody)the woman who does the paperwork for Revco is Gail Ayers (a.k.a. Tina) and the Jacksonville Manager is Jon Ayers.

Here's the problem with Revco, inc. They lie. Everything they say is a lie.

Mrs. Davidson lives in an impact region within 1 mile of the beach and a 120 mph wind zone. Revco sold her windows (from Simonton) that are not impact resistant so if her insurance company found out she would be liable because she's getting a discount. They told her the windows were "Heat Mirror" with a Mylar layer that makes the window impact resistant.

The windows are, in fact, just double strengh glass. They installed a double hung window SIDEWAYS in her upstairs bathroom. The bottom of the window is on the right side of the window. They told her that was normal. They never pulled a permit on her home for the window install. You have to in Daytona Beach. Not only that but they are doing the same thing to her second home along the coast. I stepped in and am protecting her....just in time.

I wrote over $140,000 in contracts in 2.5 weeks and they still refuse to pay me a little over $10,000 in comissions.

Ron told me, in Lakeland, that I needed to leave my wife. He then offered to pay for an apartment. When I refused I was let go and then they refused to pay me what was owed.

Waycross, Ga Peterson $1,566.70
Waycross, Ga Peterson II $500.00
Waycross, Ga Ruth $320.21
Daytona Bch, Fl Davis $880.00
Daytona Bch, Fl Davidson $3,468.92
St. Marys, Ga Delbocchio $1,878.71
Waycross, Ga Parham $1,388.71

If you decide to do business with this company you WILL get taken advantage of and lied to.

I worked for this evil company from August til November of 2003 as an Assistant Manager for the Jacksonville Office.

Here are the lies....
There is NO MR. GRUBER
They do not MAKE their own windows
There are only about 10 people that work for Revco, inc right now.
There is no Bowman project to give you a commercial discount.
You can kiss you double lifetime gaurantee good bye. It's worthless.
RevCo, inc. does not operate any manufacturing facilities.
They are NOT owned or affiliated with anyone else.
They are not the Southease largest home improvement company.
They are a mom and pop shop located in Lakeland.
Ernie Ross is the sales manager in Tampa, and an ordained minister, selling lies everyday of his life. God will judge him for the lies he weaves...for money even. Not bad for an ex refrigerator mechanic.
When the sales rep comes into your house the phone WILL RING about 10 minutes later from the office and they will ask the sales rep where the folder on the Bowman project is and what color is the folder. The sales rep will say red if the customer is warming up and he'll say blue folder if the customer is acting hostile. The rep will then ask "why do you need that info?" Mr. Gruber will then tell him that "the Bowman project has been approved and they are going to start cutting the material right now. Isn't that great news?" The sales rep is supposed to get really excited and say "Sure is!" and tell the customer all about the good news. They'll use it later if the customer doesn't buy tonight to give them a "commercial discount."

At the end of the whole negotiating process the rep is supposed to go into the "Bowman Drop." It goes like this.... "I have a really good idea... let me call the office and see if this'll work. May I use your phone?...of course. Yes Mr. Gruber they like the product and they like the company but the price is out of their budget. Yes they'll put a sign in their yard and they'll write a letter of recommendation. No they are not contractors nor are they business owners. Yes they really need the work. Yes we'll get plenty of referrals from them." The sales rep is supposed to really WORK "Mr. Gruber" for about 30 minutes.

It's all a lie.

A big dog and pony show to get you greedy. He'll then read off the job in "Factory Units" which is a code to make the job look bigger than it is to help build value into the project. He'll then ask you for a number so he can mark the material and place it into bin number 9 and put a blue tarp over it so it doesn't get shipped to Ft. Lauderdale for "The Bowman Project."

It's all lies.

Reps are taught to STAY in the house for a minimum of 3.5 hours to wear out the customer. Contractors are constantly screwed on their pay. I've even seen contractors take wood off of one side of a home and use it on the other side underneath bad wood.

You will use very poor judgement if you decide to deal with this company. They maintain a good BBB report because nothing ever gets posted without giving a company a chance to rectify the situation. They are good about that. Until now. This company is going to die. There are to many of us out there now with that goal in mind. I cannot stand the thought that another person is going to get screwed by RON, GAIL, DAVE, OR JON. It's not right. They have to be stopped.

#3Consumer Suggestion

Tue, April 25, 2006

I have read and re-read your letter. First, you must use pell check, I mean spell check. Obviously, you have a right to complain. I have, however, a few questions for you sir:

One, if all that you are saying is truth, then why did you participate in this ritual of lying? That is the one item that has bothered me about your comments. If you were a willing participant in the process, then you must be feeling guilty of something. As a former professional, I often find that many people blame others for their apparent indecision and inadequacies in decision making by shifting the blame to people other than themselves. I again ask, why did YOU participate in this ritual of lying? Was it for monetary gain?...At the expense of others?

If I was to take you at your word and believe that the company is "evil", I must question why you chose to stay employed for 4 months rising to the position of assistant manager?!?

Although I am probably much younger than you (58), I have seen many injustices in my life. As a former business owner, I have enjoyed good employees and I have seen my fair share of not so good ones. In many cases, the latter is disgruntled and their comments, as expected, are not so kind. I do feel that you believe in what you are stating and for that I respect you.

Second, as a Christian, I take offense to you characterizing "Ernie Ross" as seller of lies. What does his faith have to do with your complaint or issue? Since your entire complaint is company based, is he to blame for your 4 month employment or your departure as an assistant manager? Since an online check of the owners of the company did not list him as an officer or an owner, I would assume that this is personal.

Third, the impression that I get from your statement of having written "over $140,000.00 in contracts in 2.5 weeks and they still refuse to pay me a little over $10,000.00 in commissions" is that your grievance is contingent upon your being paid. Is it a TRUE grievance?

Lastly, have you attempted to take this grievance to the State of Florida Board of Labor (DBPR)? Here is your "saviour". Please read below. Unless you feel that the State of Florida is run by untrained 3rd graders, this is your best recourse. If they find that your case has no merit, then .....?

Everyone has the right to express themselves in whatever manner that suits them, and this instance is no exception. I would, however, suggest that both sides be made visible to maintain the integrity of expression and response. For you and for everyone potentially affected.

Investigations/Complaints

The Investigations/Complaints Program Area is often our first contact with the consumer. Based upon information and documentation provided, the department makes a determination as to the legal sufficiency of the allegations. If the complaint is determined to be legally sufficient, and is not classified as unlicensed, a notice of noncompliance or citation is considered for minor violations. For more serious matters, the file is forwarded for investigation.

We may initiate mediation for legally sufficient complaints where mediation rules exist, and the allegations pertain to economic harm or that can be remedied by the licensee. (To learn more about mediation, please see our mediation brochure.) When mediation is not viable due to the nonexistence of a mediation rule, or because the parties are uninterested in mediation, or where mediation fails, the complaint is investigated. All completed investigations are forwarded to the Office of the General Counsel for legal action.

Our Investigations Section is divided into ten regional offices throughout the state. Our headquarters can be contacted at the address, phone, and fax number below. To find out how to contact any of our regional offices go to Regulation's Contact Information.

How To File A Complaint

Complaints against the regulated professionals or professions may be filed with the Complaints Section in Tallahassee or any regional field office. You may either go to our Online Services to file a complaint over the Internet or download a complaint form and forward it to one of our offices. Complaints are prioritized based on the severity of the alleged incident. This allows the department to dedicate its resources investigating and prosecuting those cases which have caused serious physical or financial harm. Because the division is charged with regulating the professions and protection of the public as a whole, we cannot represent consumers individually. However, we can assist consumers in obtaining remedy for financial harm through our mediation program as referenced above. To learn more about consumer fraud, please visit the Attorney General's web site.
