Complaint Review: Rev’s Remodeling

Dan took a deposit, and gave us the run around on why he couldn't start the job. We were wanting a garage pergola put up, and because of the riots and looting that were happening, he told us that for an entire week he couldn't get wood. Then when he was supposed to show up the following week, he came late in the day stating he got held up at Home Depot and couldn't start till next day. Mean while, his wife made a post on his page stating due to the facts of what's going on, they'd be more than happy to refund anyone at the time due to unforeseen circumstances.

I let it slide, and still got the run around. When I told him we're just gonna cancel, and do it at another time, he didn't respond. They ended up showing up the next day, took all the lumber he bought with my deposit, and stated he'd return the wood and refund my money. I asked for the difference before he left and all he said was I'll be back. I again asked for my money or leave the wood and I'd return it, and yet another excuse! 

This should've never happened, and being a man you should stand behind your word. All this over $500. Was it worth it? I'm beyond pissed, not to mention having to get the police involved and filed a police report. What a poor excuse of a man, yet a supposed businessman!
