I had a Rewards 660 Visa Credit Card. With an initial credit limit of 300.00.

they charge 250.00, leaving you with 50.00.....

I used the card maybe 5 times, less than 50 dollars was charged on the card. I made an online payment and the check cleared the bank..

But Rewards 660 Visa said it never cleared, they never recieved it.

Charged me a rate of 27.75% interest rate on my due payments. I have collection agencies calling me 2 or three times a month. DO NOT GET THIS CARD. NOW THE SITE IS NOT ACCEPTING NEW APPLICANTS.

High Risk Credit is Shared Risk (You and The Card Issuer)

Unless, you plan to live your life as 'cash and carry', you will have to a strong credit foundation. Thus, we have companies willing to extend credit to the otherwise uncreditworthy. This is a process of timely payments requiring discipline and stedfastness. The options are few. Don't get mad at the doctor because the medicine is high or has side effects; especially if it works.

great lil credit card it does have lots of starting fees but it does report to transunion to help build a solid credit report and when rebulding credit with a bad credit credit card NEVER send checks to these places because most of them will hold the check for long periods of time money gram is what i use and has never been proven a wrong choice. and approval is easy my mom was approved, and belive me her credit is so bad she was turned down for all bad credit credit cards but the rewards 660. and hear it from me this card is not a rip-off or scam.

Rewards 660 - Not A SCAM

#11Consumer Suggestion

Thu, July 06, 2006

As the credit card is to improve and assist those with poor credit in rebuilding such, I find it hard to accomplish this task when the creditor no longer reports all three credit reporting agencies, which it clearly states within the Terms & Conditions.

I have had this card for about a year, what I find is that they told me I could get an increase within 60 days of on-time payments however I receive increases within 60 days, maybe it's been revised. Rewards 660 states clearly that you can not, send in a payment within 14 days of a previous payment. So this is what I suggest, set up an electronic payment through your bank every 15, 16, 17 days for Rewards 660 and have them send you an alert via e-mail when the payment has been received, when a payment is due, and when you've gone over your credit limit, this will help you rebuild your credit.

My problem remains that now Rewards 660 only reports to Transunion credit reporting agency and not all 3 bureaus, when questioning them why, they give you inconclusive answers, even the credit bureau itself doesn't know why they're not reporting.

I have a Rewards 660 card also. When I first signed up for it, I googled it and saw no complaints. I took that as a good sign. I read everything there was to read on the website, and made sure I understood every "fine print" disclosure. I signed up for the card, received and used it, and everything has gone smoothly. I went online tonight to see my account statement. I didn't remember the site address, so I googled it. Wow, look at all these complaints!! I checked my account information, and saw everything was good to go. Then I went back and started reading through all the complaints that have amassed. There is 1 thing that every single complainant has had in common, they have ALL tried to pay their bill with a check LESS THAN 14
DAYS BEFORE IT'S DUE. Rewards 660 is very plain in stating that this is not a good idea. Regardless of when you receive your bill and send in your check, the company cannot control that it takes 14 days for a check to clear and post to your credit card account. If the check has not POSTED to your account (meaning become available) by your due date, you WILL get charged the late fee. That is why, when you receive your card and call to activate it they tell you your payment due date (28 days later). WRITE IT DOWN. If you pay by check, you need to send it off within 14 days after that call. DON'T wait for your statement! That could come on day 16, 17, 18 or 27 -way too late to make a check payment.
Also some people are saying that Rewards 660 records show that their check was rejected for NSF. Well, those people need to check if they really had the funds available the 1st time the company tried to cash the check, or if they put the money in later thinking the company wouldn't cash it till the due date. The company probably tries to cash the check twice or more, but each time, the processing probably starts over - causing your payment to be later and later, even if you "have plenty of money in the bank" and your bank statement shows that the check has been cashed. In the meanwhile, you'll probably receive a statement that does not reflect that you've paid anything, and you'll be accruing those exorbitant fees. YOU NEED TO HAVE THE MONEY AVAILABLE WHEN YOU SEND OFF THE CHECK AND EVERY MINUTE THEREAFTER. You can't be sure just when they'll try to cash it.
It's so easy to get messed up and confused if you don't really understand what's going on in the system. That's why people feel like they're getting "scammed". But they're not. They just didn't read and understand what they'd gotten themselves into. If they did, they wouldn't even ever have tried making the payment with a check or "check by phone" which operates under the same rules. They would have went ahead and got a money order and mailed that (easy), used western union or moneygram (VERY easy), or paid with a debit card over the phone (EASIEST of all). These methods are as good as cash and post to your account in less than 24 hours.
You will see that there are no complaints from us who don't have a checking account to wrangle with.
So, anyone with this Rewards 660 Visa -DO NOT PAY YOUR BILL WITH A CHECK. Just be safe and use the methods that post same or next day. You'll save yourself SO much hastle.
