RGA Reportage Leather Jackets Street seller - Itanlian Conmen x 2/Selling RGA jackets prior to "departing for Italy" Ripoff Pico Rivera/Los Angeles California
2 young Italian guys pull up at gas station today ~3pm, same story...Leaving from LA convention center show back to Italy tonight, need to sell leather jackets to avoid paying taxes for import/export to Italy, shows passport/British airways flight ticket/Alamo car rental agreement for PT cruiser to be returned.
This is one of the guys.
Try to sell 7-9 jackets of "extra show inventory" - I took 3.
Very slick and convincing performance.
Explained that "RGA" is for Repertoir Giorgio Armani, a new line (leather)being introduced and the quality appears to be good. Says that at the convention, each is selling for ~$700.
Gave me this phone # in Italy which I haven't tried for his friend in the car named LINO: +3933915 06983.
Anyway, at the time, I suspected it sounded too good to be true and an opportunity but as I said the pitch was pretty believable.
The jackets seem to be of decent enough quality, I just wish the whole thing wasn't what seems to be a hoax!
