I was screwed by these guys. They took me for $1000.00. He called me to the side of the road for directions. I'm fluent in Italian so I helped him with directions to LAX. I actually spent two hours with this guy talking about Italy, politics, fashion, economics, etc. I'm the son of a cop. I should never have bit when he asked me for money to pay his rental car so he could get on the plane back to Italy. He said that he and the
other Armani consultant went to the casino the night before and he blew 22,000.00 on the blackjack table and maxed out his credit cards. He needed cash to turn in the car. I gave him more than he asked for thinking he would need it to catch a bus / taxi at home. He then started showering me with gifts, 3 leather jackets and a suit just out of "gratitude". He promised that he would hit the bank first thing in the morning and wire it back to me. I didn't catch any flaws in his story until we parted ways. He gave me a business card upon the back of which he had written his name and signed off on a 30% lifetime discount to any armani store.

As he drove away, I noticed that the name he had written was different than the name he had been using and different than the name on his Passport (Which I had seen in his car along with a rental car receipt). I then googled RGA Reportage Giorgio armani and came up with a few EBAY items for sale and Rip off report.com I knew I had been taken. His problem was he didn't know who he scammed. I followed the trails and uncovered all the information we need to make an arrest and take these guys to court. If anyone wants to participate they can contact me or the El Segundo, CA PD. I have identified these men. I am looking to gather witnesses to their fraudulent activities. They got me with their whole leaving the convention center for Italy story. Now comes their reciprocation. They base out of LA. If you have filed police reports and want to get their information for your local Police Department, email me and I will send it to you. Let's stop these guys from continuing this operation of thievery.

Italian Con Artist - Sunnyvale Fry's Electronics White SUV, Black Versace Suit with silver chain necklace. RIPOFF

#2Consumer Suggestion

Sat, May 27, 2006

I was walking in the parking lot at the Sunnyvale Fry's when this italian guy pulls up next to me in his white SUV.

Same story as everybody else. Asks me if I spoke Italian, said he worked for Armani and was in town for a convention, blah blah. Showed me passport, rental car receipt, and business card. Offered me a whole chunk of jackets, and a reportage suit. He got me so much into helping him out I even went to get money from the ATM. I gave him $400 for his crappy jackets.

I can't believe I fell for this!!

The guy wore a Black Versace Suit (not even sure if it's real), a black shirt, with a silver chain necklace. When he spoke, you could see some white in the corner of his mouth. Real gross.

Don't fall for this crap! If it sounds too good to be true, it definitely is! And don't try to be a hero and surprise your wife/gf with designer clothes for cheap. You'll regret it!

Seriously, if there's a way to get these guys, please let's get together and do it! It seems to be happening all over the world.
