RGSFinancial Scam Artists Richardson & Addison, Texas
Company representative called and made a settlement offer for a past due credit card account. The offer seemed fair and reasonable compared to other settlement offers I had accepted to pay off old past due debts. The first payment "had to be made by Nov 25 to lock in the offer". The representative said a written offer of the settlement had been mailed to me. The first payment was made. I continued to check my mail for the next three week and did not receive the written settlement offer. I then contacted the representative by phone. Got promise that a written settlement would be in mail that day; still no written copy of offer. I then sent a letter, certified mail with return receipt, politely describing the sequence of events and requesting a written settlement offer. My letter also contained the threat that I would notify the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Attorney General's office. Additionally, I stated I would stop any payment to RGS Financal from my bank account. I got a promise that a letter would be sent within the next 5 minutes via e-mail and a hardcopy would be mailed. Now two days later - still no letter.
This Ripoff report is the first step. I will follow-up with a report to Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. I will then take steps necessary to protect my bank account from access by RGS Financial.
